Need AI Compute Capacity in Europe? Pre-Book Modular Data Centre Infrastructure with MASSA Compute
AI companies are planning for a major increase in demand for compute. For many operators, the challenge is not only obtaining servers or accelerators. It is finding a site with a credible path to power, connectivity, cooling, permitting and construction at the scale and speed their deployment plans require.
MASSA Compute is developing a modular, decentralised data centre platform in Bulgaria for companies seeking a European location for AI, cloud and high-performance computing infrastructure. The project is designed around phased capacity, container-based deployment and a focus on time-to-power.
A site-led approach to AI infrastructure
Large data centre projects can be delayed by grid constraints, site development, permitting, equipment delivery and construction sequencing. MASSA Compute’s approach is to bring these workstreams together around sites with existing energy infrastructure and a modular deployment concept.
The current development vision includes up to 1 GW of data centre capacity at a site planned for that purpose, alongside a further 1 GW of data centre space associated with ready infrastructure and electricity. The total 2 GW is a development ambition, not a statement that 2 GW of energised IT load is currently available. Capacity, timing and configuration will depend on technical due diligence, grid and power arrangements, permitting, financing and customer requirements.
Modular deployment, delivered in phases
Container-based data centre modules can allow infrastructure to be deployed in repeatable phases. Instead of waiting for an entire campus to be completed, an operator can plan an initial installation and expand in line with contracted demand, equipment availability and site readiness.
MASSA Compute is targeting an initial deployment pathway of approximately 11 months for a defined project phase, subject to scope, permitting, grid connection, equipment lead times and final investment decisions. The schedule should be confirmed for each customer after a technical and commercial assessment.
Potential use cases include GPU cloud deployments, AI model training and inference, high-performance computing, enterprise AI infrastructure and regional or sovereign compute capacity.
Designed for security and resilience
AI infrastructure requires more than floor space and electricity. Operators need to assess physical security, network routes, power redundancy, cooling design, operational procedures, data governance and the security requirements of their customers.
MASSA Compute is developing its decentralised model with these infrastructure considerations in view. Site-specific security architecture, service levels, connectivity options, power arrangements and resilience standards would be defined with each prospective operator during technical due diligence. No security certification or service level should be assumed until it is confirmed for the relevant facility.
Pre-booking and capacity planning
Companies considering future AI compute deployments can begin discussions through a pre-booking process. An initial enquiry can identify the target capacity, expected deployment date, power profile, cooling requirements, network needs, preferred commercial structure and technical standards.
A pre-booking enquiry is an early planning step. It does not by itself guarantee capacity, power delivery, a construction date or a binding service commitment. Any reservation would be documented separately, with clear conditions, milestones and due diligence requirements.
Start with a technical discussion
MASSA Compute is engaging with AI infrastructure companies, cloud operators, GPU providers, telecoms and investors to understand demand and shape phased development around real customer requirements.
Companies seeking European data centre capacity can request an initial discussion to share their deployment profile and assess potential fit. The next step is a structured review of capacity, power, cooling, connectivity, security, timing and commercial requirements.
Contact MASSA Compute to discuss a capacity pre-booking enquiry. Bring your target IT load, expected go-live date, power and cooling profile, connectivity requirements and preferred contract structure to the first conversation.
